Due to the global coronavirus pandemic shooting was forced to suspend, but it seems Corrie‘s stars are getting used to seeing themselves on television less and less.

Speaking on Radio 5 Live, Jennie McAlpine and Beverley Callard revealed how they’re adjusting to the current situation.

Jennie, who plays Fiz Brown in the soap, said: “I keep putting it on at half eight, but then I think, ‘Oh no, Corrie’s not on’. “They’ve limited our Corrie output now, so there’s only three on instead of six.”

Coronation Street SPOILER: David Platt jumps off a car in a bid to flee from fierce gang

David Platt is set to transform into a’vigilante as he attempts to confront a fierce gang who sell drugs on a rough estate.

Making a bold move, the hairdresser,’played by Jack P. Shepherd, jumps onto their car as he approaches the thugs about their illegal activity.

David is encouraged to take on the’lawbreakers as he witnesses one of the members exchanging drugs for money from a vehicle.

The Weatherfield regular eventually plucks up the courage to stop the bad boys as he leaps onto the top of their car.

Filled with fury, the gang escape their’automobile and eagerly follow scared David, who manages to escape the scene when he comes across policeman pal Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) on a routine stop.’

Corrie’s Michael Le Vell heading for fourth decade on the soap as he signs new deal

The soap actor, who plays the role of Kevin Webster in the much-loved ITV soap, has renewed his contract

Coronation Street star Michael Le Vell has signed a new deal that will take his stint on the ITV soap to almost four decades.

His contract, thought to be worth ‘275,000 a year, means his character Kevin Webster will be in next year’s live episode for Corrie’s 60th anniversary.

Only Bill Roache, who plays Ken Barlow, Barbara Knox as shop boss Rita Fairclough, Emily Bishop star Eileen Derbyshire and Sue Nicholls – Audrey Roberts – have been in Weatherfield for longer.
