Writing a piece on her stories before the episode aired, Jessica shared: ‘Before tomorrow’s episode airs, I just wanted to say how incredible all the crew were in my final weeks of shooting. The behind scenes work that is done is insane.’

Jessica continued on to thank some of the departments behind the scenes who help to make the show what it is, including art and design, camera, script, and wardrobe.

In a post on Instagram, she said: ‘I hope off the back of our collaborative work, people will speak out when maybe otherwise would have stayed silent. Or a friend or family member will check in with someone they might be worried about.’

EastEnders unveils Black Lives Matter solidarity in beautiful mural

As cameras roll once again on Monday 29’June, EastEnders has released details of a new addition to its Elstree set ‘ a wall mural of a black woman that will become a permanent backdrop to many storylines when the show returns to screens later this year.’

The artwork is positioned in the drama series’ Bridge Street on the side wall of the Beales’house ‘ opposite The Queen Victoria pub. Painted directly onto the wall of the Walford-set house over several days by visual artist Dreph, the mural measures 5’2 metres in size and’was completed’ahead of cast and crew returning to work last week.
