The pub landlady – who is played by actress Emma Atkins in the ITV soap – had no choice but to cancel her wedding after finding son Ryan after he was kidnapped by Graham Foster.

Disabled Ryan was left humiliated when Graham picked him up and locked him in a woodland shed to stop him from telling anyone about his stealing money from Kim Tate.

But in the struggle he dropped his phone and that led to Charity finding him sobbing and terrified in the hut.

However even after finding Ryan and taking him home, Charity didn’t go to the registry office to meet Vanessa and their kids – instead she cancelled the wedding and put the phone down without an explanation.
