Cats musical creator gives feelings about movie adaptation

Movie-goers were quick to slam the special effects used to turn actors into felines, as well as the lack of an actual storyline.

But it seems even Andrew Lloyd Webber, who wrote the original hit musical, wasn’t a fan of the big-screen adaptation.

“I saw it and I just thought, ‘Oh, God, no.’ It was the first time in my 70-odd years on this planet that I went out and bought a dog. So the one good thing to come out of it is my little Havanese puppy.”

Lloyd Webber added he’s become so attached to his pooch, he’s found a way of being able to take it with him when he travels by plane.
