Ex Emmerdale star Catherine Tyldesley, who played Abi Peterson, has become one of the latest celebs found to have used the government’s furlough scheme over the last 18 months.
Using the furlough scheme, which she was entitled to do so, the 37-year-old and her husband Tom Pitfield boosted their company with up to ‘10,000 a month using the scheme made to prevent businesses from folding due to the pandemic.
Catherine, who is best known for her role as Eva Price on Coronation Street, has stayed in the public eye, working throughout the pandemic.
Earlier this week, the actress graced the television screen as she became one of the latest celebrities to take part in the new culinary challenge show, Cooking with the Stars.
In June, I’m a Celeb winner Giovanna Fletcher and husband Tom Fletcher, from boyband Mcfly were forced to apologise to fans after being exposed as using the publicly funded scheme to pay one of her employees, despite being worth an estimated ‘8 million.
