Sammy, 35, from Bolton, posted a photo of her new hairdo on Instagram as she posed in a snuggly teddy bear coat.

Sammy, who played Katie Sugden in the ITV soap, joked that it might have been bad timing to have a fringe cut into her hair when we’ve just entered a month-long second lockdown.

“Fringe just in time for lockdown, so in other words, wont be able to see in about four minutes,” she joked.

Emmerdale confirms Zak Dingle’s whereabouts amid coronavirus lockdown as he leaves village

Emmerdale’s Zak Dingle won’t be in the village for a while it seems, but he made contact in the latest episode

The ITV soap launched their special lockdown episodes on Monday night, featuring limited cast members.

Sam Dingle and wife Lydia took centre stage in the first episode, with Lydia hearing from her father-in-law Zak.

But older cast members or those considered high-risk will not be filming for the time being, until it is safer for them.

Actor Steve Halliwell is one of those cast members it seems, with character Zak having left the village.

He only returned earlier this year following a six month break, heading back to the village for Sam and Lydia’s wedding.
